School Community Youth Collaborative (SCYC) is seeking volunteers for Teen Maze 2019!
Since 2002, Teen Maze has been an interactive health fair for 8th graders from Montezuma and the surrounding counties. It covers topics such as; safe teen driving, mental health, healthy lifestyles, positive choices, sexual health and parenting, career choices, self-esteem, acceptance of diversity, and other positive activities.
This event would not happen without the many committed volunteers that ensure the success of Teen Maze.
Teen Maze set up is Tuesday, November 12th, followed by the event on Wednesday, November 13th, and Thursday, November 14th.
Volunteers needed;

High school youth to act as ushers (to take participants between pre/post activity and the maze)- Click HERE to volunteer as an USHER

Kitchen hostesses to run the kitchen and set out food and drinks for volunteers- Click HERE to volunteer as a HOSTESS

Debrief counselors debrief the youth as they exit the maze by asking the provided questions. Additionally, they will be available for any triggered youth- Click HERE to volunteer as a DEBRIEF COUNSELOR – Requirements; previous counseling experience

Survey room volunteers are responsible for providing and collecting the surveys given to the participants after they exit Teen Maze. – Click HERE to volunteer for the SURVEY ROOM

Set up crew will be lifting metal polls, posts, and using step-stools & ladders to hang curtains onto the polls forming a life-size maze with multiple rooms. – Click HERE to volunteer for SET UP

Break down crew will assist in breaking down, loading the polls, posts, and curtains used to form the maze, and cleaning up any areas used during the event. – Click HERE to volunteer for BREAK DOWN

If you have volunteered in a specific room in the past and would like to volunteer in that capacity, please outreach directly to the room leader.
