Compiling a Compelling Grant Application

Onward! is excited to partner with the Colorado Nonprofit Association to bring this training to Montezuma County! Part 2 of two part training. Attend either or both based on your nonprofit’s needs.

If you feel unsure what to write in your grant applications or want to energize your existing copy, this workshop is for you! We will discuss the elements of a compelling application and how to respond to grantors questions. If you have a grant application you’ve submitted or are working on, be sure to bring it with you.

Presenter

Amanda Wallander Roberts, MSSW, is the founder and principal consultant at Capacity Building Consulting, which supports social sector organizations in fundraising and evaluation. Amanda has more than ten years of experience working in programs serving children and youth and utilizes this experience to inform her work in fundraising, evaluation, and program development. She has directly worked with more than 60 social organizations to build capacity in fundraising and/or evaluation, including raising over $22 million, developing 50 logic models, evaluation plans, and process maps, and providing coaching for nonprofit leaders. Additionally, one of her community impact evaluations was recently published as a peer-reviewed chapter in “Public Health, Social Work, and Health Inequalities.”
