Through this arrangement, Onward! partners with mission-driven projects that are providing or meeting a community need and require non-profit recognition.<\/p>\n Fiscal sponsorship is a collaborative relationship where Onward! shares its 501(c)(3) status and back-office infrastructure with mission-aligned projects. For the duration of the relationship, each project operates as a program of Onward! but retains its own identity and makes its own strategic and day-to-day decisions. Through this relationship, projects can accept grants and donations, enter into contracts, hire staff, and provide employee benefits. Onward! handles all tax filings, insurance, donor and regulatory compliance, and provides projects with timely financial reports.
