Who We Are
Four Corners Slow Money (FC$M) goal is to support a robust local food economy by giving farmers, growers and local food enterprises a leg up in the Four Corners region. Through community-supported peer to peer lending, we make 0% interest loans to growers and local food entrepreneurs.
Four Corners Slow Money is a 100% volunteer-run effort for and by the community. We are based in Durango, CO and currently serve the five counties of Southwest Colorado, and Northwestern New Mexico. We have zero staff, keeping our overhead extremely low, so that the vast majority of the funds we raise can go directly into our revolving loan fund.
All members of Four Corners Slow Money (FC$M) have a voice in our loan-making process, which strives for consensus. Founded in March 2019, FC$M operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Onward! A Legacy Foundation. Our volunteer Steering Committee handles the administration of our organization.

The Slow Money movement is built around local groups, which catalyze local food investing in a variety of ways—peer-to-peer lending, public meetings, pitch-fests, and on-farm events. Local Slow Money groups are organized as informal networks and/or investment clubs. There are currently 27 groups nationwide, that have invested $66 million in 697 food enterprises.

Although we have very low overhead as a Club with 0 staff, 100% volunteer-run, we do have some administrative expenses like credit card processing fees, marketing and insurance. Help us defer these costs, so that more of our collective funds can go towards Farmer loans! Thank you
Note that the following form is for a one-time only donation. If you would like to setup a reoccurring donation use the red 'Donate Now' button at the bottom of the page.
