Mancos Centennial Scholarship

  • Application Information

    Applications are due APRIL 1. Criteria used by the selection committee in determining the recipient will be as follows: 1. Recipients MUST be a graduating senior from Mancos High School 2. Recipients MUST plan full-time enrollment in an accredited two or four-year college, university, or career/technical school. Applicants will be advised, by mail, if they were or were not selected no later than May 6. Scholarship monies will be paid through Onward! A Legacy Foundation directly to the institution's financial aid office with half paid for fall semester and the second half paid for spring semester.

  • Application Requirements

  • Approximately 500 word essay describing how your high school experience prepared you for your chosen post-secondary education. Please include your future field of study, as well as, the school you plan to attend in the narrative.
  • Approximately 500 word essay telling us about the college, university, or career/technical school you plan to attend, whether you have been accepted by that institution, why you have chosen that particular educational institution, and the steps you have taken to prepare for your higher education.
